By booking a trip and using our platform, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions, forming a contract between you and Buckettrips AB.

3. Booking Conditions

How to Book:

All bookings for Buckettrips take place exclusively on our website: buckettrips.travel. Simply select your desired trip, fill in your personal details, and make the payment to secure your booking. Currently, we do not support bookings via phone or email.

Payment Terms and Deadlines:

We accept major credit/debit cards for all payments. All prices are listed in Euros (€), and full payment is required at the time of booking. We do not offer deposits or split payments at this time. For last-minute bookings, payment must be completed immediately upon booking.

Booking Confirmation Process:

Once your payment is received, you will receive a booking confirmation via email within 24 hours. This confirmation will include all trip details, payment receipt, and next steps. If you notice any errors in your booking confirmation, please contact us immediately to rectify them.

4. Pricing

Price Inclusions and Exclusions:

Prices include all services and activities outlined in the trip description unless otherwise stated.

Exclusions typically cover personal expenses, travel insurance, and any optional activities not included in the trip itinerary.

Currency and Payment Methods:

All prices are listed in Euros (€). Payments are accepted via major credit/debit cards.

Price Changes and Error Corrections:

While we strive to ensure all pricing information is accurate, errors may occasionally occur. We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors and will inform you as soon as possible.

Prices may change due to factors beyond our control, such as changes in exchange rates, transportation costs, or government taxes.

Promotions and Discounts:

From time to time, we may offer promotions or discounts on our trips. These will be clearly stated on our website and are subject to specific terms and conditions.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation by the Traveler:

More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus a €50 administrative fee.

30-60 days before departure: 50% of trip cost refunded.

Less than 30 days before departure: No refund.

Refund Process:

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the cancellation request.

Cancellation by Buckettrips:

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a trip, you will be offered a choice of a full refund, an alternative trip of equivalent value, or a credit towards a future trip.

Exceptional Circumstances:

Unavoidable & Extraordinary Circumstances: Full refund if travel is advised against by relevant authorities.

6. Changes and Transfers

Traveler-initiated Changes:

Travelers can request changes to their bookings more than 60 days before departure for an administrative fee of €50. Changes made 30-60 days before departure may incur higher fees or a percentage of the trip cost. Changes within 30 days of departure are generally not permitted or incur significant fees.

Types of changes allowed include date changes, name changes, and trip changes, subject to availability and applicable fees.

Transfers of Bookings:

Bookings can be transferred to another person if requested more than 60 days before departure for an administrative fee of €50. Transfers requested within 30-60 days before departure may incur higher fees, and no transfers are allowed within 30 days of departure.

The transferee must meet all conditions applicable to the original booking.

Changes by Buckettrips:

Minor changes, such as slight alterations to flight times (less than 12 hours) or accommodation upgrades, will be communicated promptly but do not entitle the traveler to a refund.

Significant changes, such as major itinerary alterations or flight changes exceeding 12 hours, will be communicated as soon as possible. Travelers can accept the change, choose an alternative trip of equivalent value, or receive a full refund.

7. Insurance

Requirement for Travel Insurance:

All travelers must have travel insurance covering medical expenses, trip cancellation, and repatriation. Proof of insurance must be provided before departure.

Coverage Recommendations:

It is recommended that customers also have coverage for adventure activities, theft, and loss protection. While we do not mandate a specific provider, we recommend purchasing comprehensive coverage.

Verification Process:

Travelers must provide proof of insurance either online or via email before the trip. Those without adequate insurance may be denied participation or required to purchase appropriate coverage.

8. Health and Safety

Medical Conditions and Disabilities:

Travelers must inform Buckettrips of any medical conditions or disabilities at the time of booking. While we strive to accommodate special needs, we cannot guarantee specific accommodations.

Health Formalities:

Depending on the destination, certain health requirements such as vaccinations may be necessary. We recommend that travelers ensure they meet the required fitness levels for their chosen trips.

Risk Acknowledgment:

Participation in our trips involves a degree of personal risk. Travelers must sign a waiver acknowledging these risks and agree to our disclaimers regarding the nature of adventure travel.

9. Travel Requirements

Passport, Visa, and Immigration Requirements:

Travelers are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport, required visas, and any other necessary travel documents. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the end date of the trip.

At the booking stage, Buckettrips will provide an itinerary listing all countries involved in the trip. Travelers must check visa requirements for each country and obtain the necessary visas in advance.

We recommend travelers visit their respective embassy or consulate websites for up-to-date visa and immigration information.

Compliance with Local Laws and Regulations:

Travelers must comply with local laws and regulations of the countries visited. This includes but is not limited to customs regulations, health and safety standards, and legal conduct.

Non-compliance with local laws may result in penalties or fines, for which Buckettrips is not responsible. Travelers are advised to familiarize themselves with local regulations before traveling.

10. Responsibilities

Responsibilities of Buckettrips:

Buckettrips will provide the services and activities outlined in the trip description, ensuring that they meet the agreed-upon standards. In case of any changes to the itinerary or trip conditions, Buckettrips will communicate these changes promptly and provide suitable alternatives to ensure travelers get their money's worth and have an unforgettable experience.

Our travel coordinator, who leads the group, will have emergency contact information and will be available to assist travelers during the trip.

In case of unforeseen circumstances or changes to the trip conditions, Buckettrips has backup plans included in the itineraries to minimize disruption and ensure traveler satisfaction.

Responsibilities of the Traveler:

Travelers must ensure they are physically and mentally fit to participate in the activities included in the trip. They are responsible for their own health and safety during the trip.

Travelers are expected to comply with the terms and conditions, follow instructions from the travel coordinator, and act responsibly and respectfully towards other group members and local communities.

Travelers must take care of their personal belongings and valuables. Buckettrips is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

Third-party Services and Suppliers:

Buckettrips uses third-party services and suppliers, such as hotels and transport providers, to deliver certain aspects of the trip. While we carefully select these providers, Buckettrips is not liable for their actions or omissions.

In case of issues with third-party services, Buckettrips will assist travelers in resolving these issues but cannot guarantee outcomes or provide refunds for services not directly controlled by Buckettrips.

11. Liability

Limitations of Liability:

Buckettrips' liability for any loss, damage, or injury suffered by travelers is limited to the amount paid for the trip. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.

Buckettrips is not liable for any changes, delays, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political instability, or other force majeure events.

Exclusions:

Buckettrips is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from customer negligence, failure to comply with local laws, or actions taken by third-party service providers.

Customers are required to sign a waiver acknowledging the risks associated with travel and adventure activities, and accepting responsibility for their own actions.

12. Behavior and Conduct

Expected Conduct of Travelers:

Travelers are expected to behave respectfully and considerately towards other group members, local communities, and Buckettrips staff. This includes following the instructions of the travel coordinator and adhering to local customs and laws.

Travelers must not engage in any behavior that is disruptive, dangerous, or harmful to others.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior:

Unacceptable behavior may result in the immediate termination of the traveler's participation in the trip, without refund. Buckettrips reserves the right to remove any traveler whose behavior is deemed unacceptable.

Travelers may also be liable for any damage or loss caused by their actions and may be required to reimburse Buckettrips or third-party providers.

13. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

Complaint Process:

If travelers have any complaints during the trip, they should inform the travel coordinator immediately to give us an opportunity to address the issue.

If the issue is not resolved locally, travelers can submit a formal complaint in writing to Buckettrips within 28 days of the trip's conclusion.

Timeframe for Lodging Complaints:

Complaints must be submitted within 28 days of the end of the trip. Complaints received after this period may not be considered.

Dispute Resolution Mechanisms:

In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved through our complaint process, Buckettrips offers mediation or arbitration as a means of resolving the issue. Travelers may also seek resolution through appropriate external bodies or associations if necessary.

Any legal disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions will be handled in accordance with Swedish law and resolved in the appropriate Swedish legal instance.

14. Special Requests

Process for Making Special Requests:

Travelers can make special requests, such as dietary requirements or room preferences, at the time of booking. These requests should be submitted in writing.

While Buckettrips will make every effort to accommodate special requests, we cannot guarantee that all requests will be met.

Limitations and Guarantees:

Special requests are subject to availability and feasibility. Buckettrips does not guarantee that all requests can be fulfilled.

Any additional costs associated with fulfilling special requests will be communicated to the traveler and must be paid in advance.
